ABOUT US

Lively, authentic and full of joy: Meet Le Vibe, an eclectic reggae band consisting of six musicians.

Le Vibe continues to evolve and travel through different musical genres over the years. After a start mainly focused on Reggae, which persists in the band's program, Le Vibe has made stops in different musical worlds. Latin and African rhythms can be found here, but also elements of jazz, funk and pop.

Their honest and uplifting music strives to move and inspire their audience by working towards the goal of making people dance and think. They manage to achieve this by combining fun, sunny and groovy music with lyrics tackling social, psychological and spiritual topics in the spirit of Roots Reggae.

At the end of the day, most of the sounds offered by Le Vibe can be considered as popular music in the broadest sense, including a wide variety of influences. With a touch of humor and self-deprecation, which can especially be shared during concerts, Le Vibe's main objective is to emit intriguing vibrations, but also to encourage people to join in the dance...

The one that's right for you!

MUSIC

Le Vibe plays a colorful and driving blend of Roots Reggae infused with genres like Afrobeat, Funk and Jazz. This results in honest and uplifting music that strives to move and inspire their audience by working towards the goal of making people think and dance.

The soundscape created for this purpose varies from moody, jazz- influenced down-tempo Reggae to militant "4-on-the-floor" Roots- rocking, but mostly fun, sunny and groovy music true to the values of Roots culture and aiming to deliver positive and encouraging messages and generally provides "good vibrations".

Furthermore, they like to funk it out through the means of percussive and rhythmically stimulating musical influences such as Funk and Afrobeat in order to guarantee that people can't resist the urge to dance, or at least head-bop in appreciation.

Alex Hueber (vocals, rhythm guitar, synth)

HISTORY

Le Vibe was founded by bassist Fabien Spaus and Drummer Max Duchscher, who were originally looking to form a Ska band. After finding their fellow musicians, it became clear however, that Le Vibe would not be meant to be a Ska band and a distinctive reggae sound started to develop.

Most of them didn’t know each other and had differing musical experiences and tastes, but they soon came to consider themselves a family and bonded through the music they wrote and played. In June 2018, Le Vibe hit the stage at Café Konrad for their first public appearance, which sold out quickly.

The band went on to play on some of Luxembourg’s staple scenes, while their most memorable gigs remained the outdoor festivals, synonymous of reggae culture.

Strengthened by all the experiences, they set out to record their debut album "Day One" in 2019.

' DAY ONE '

“Day One” is the fruit of their collaboration with renowned producer Charel Stoltz for the musical aspect as well as artist Fernando Alves for the visual aspects of the record. The result was a colourful and honest record, that the band was exhilarated to finally share with the 300+ fans who showed up at their Release Party at Kulturfabrik in September 2019.

' SINGLES '

To showcase their diversity, Le Vibe released several further singles completely unlike anything that they had done before: Firstly "Evolution", an intricate song in Luxembourgish in May 2020 followed by "Reset", in February 2021. Over the course of 2021 followed 3 single releases and 2 more in 2023.

' TWODAY '

In March 2022, their second full-length album "TwoDay" was officially released to a sold out Flying Dutchamn (Beaufort, LU).

The new record 'TwoDay' takes various musical and lyrical directions. Surprising turn-arounds, words that discuss the collective as well as the individual. With perhaps a notion of balance on the horizon. 'TwoDay' stays faithful to the genre-fluidity that always keeps a presence in the original Le Vibe composing style. The songs are interlinked to create a red threat throughout the record, taking the listener on a musical journey for the body and mind. Thus, they continue to follow their path of constant experimentation while being fully creatively free.
